C.A.R.E. Program

This program is designed to reward learning, foster responsibility, and nurture relationships
with women who are pregnant and/or have children up to age 12 months in our community
by providing practical help, emotional support, and education.
 

What does the C.A.R.E. Program Offer?

 

Support
Alpha peer counselors understand the concerns that come along with pregnancy or being a new mother. We are dedicated to providing a loving, confidential environment in which you can comfortably share these concerns.

 

Education
You will have the opportunity to become familiar with: Baby Development, Pregnancy
Baby Care, Breastfeeding Other Topics you can learn about: Adoption, Abstinence, AIDS,
Sexually Transmitted Diseases Post-Abortion Syndrome.

Referrals
Our peer Counselors will help you locate needed MediCal, housing, adoption, social service, and Post abortion counseling.

Baby Boutique
Shop for maternity and baby clothes, diapers, formula, cribs, highchairs, and other baby related items in our very own store with the vouchers you will earn.

 

How does the C.A.R.E. Program Work?

1. Sign Up
You can register with your existing Alpha peer counselor. If you do not have a Alpha peer counselor, please ask to sign up for the C.A.R.E. program and a peer counselor will be assigned for you.

2. Participate
This is an earn while you learn program to help equip you for life with your baby. You will also be able to earn vouchers maintaining certain responsibilities. A complete list of ways that you can earn vouchers will be provided for you.

3. Shop
The vouchers that you have earned are to be used in our Baby Boutique. The vouchers can be used to purchase items in our market needed for you and your baby. The boutique stocks items such as; maternity clothes, baby clothes from newborn up to age 12 months, furniture is available upon request.
