Skip Thomson

Board Member

Skip is the son of a military family---his father was an Air Force sergeant and his mother was a Navy Lt. Commander. Skip grew up on Air Force bases around the world, including Morocco, Turkey, and Brazil.

Skip graduated from Fairfield High School in 1968. Skip enlisted in the US Army and served 4 years. Upon leaving the Army, Skip enrolled at Solano Community College earning an AA and later received his BA in International Relations with a minor in Spanish from UC Davis.

In 1976 Skip married his high school sweetheart Gail Woods. Skip and Gail have two children. Loren, a graduate of Fresno State, is a deputy sheriff for the Solano County Sheriff’s Department. Brandon, a graduate of Sacramento State, is currently attending graduate school.

Skip is a member of Orchard Avenue Baptist Church, serves on the North Bay Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, and is a Commissioner on the Vacaville Commission on Aging.
